Definition
This term refers to UN Security Council resolution 1680, (5/17/06), which seeks to assert Lebanon's sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence. The resolution thus calls for the establishment of formal diplomatic ties between Lebanon and Syria and the demarcation of the border between the two countries.
